Well for
this class, I was a little sick of my throat, and it was difficult to speak
aloud. I started by greeting the
students. To know the students’ name, I made a review of the past topic, which
was past continuous (in its affirmative form). I asked the students to make a
circle and to pay attention to what I was going to do, and I gave an example of
it. I said my name and what I was doing yesterday at 5 pm like this: hi, my
name is Daniel, and yesterday at five pm, I was watching TV. Therefore, they
had to do the same. They had say their names, and answer the question that I asked
them which was what were you doing yesterday at 5 pm?
Something I
really appreciate is that those students are smart, and they did it well.
Then I explained
to them the way to make negative and interrogative form by using a chart in
blank to be filled during the explanation. It was interesting because they
focus precisely in the explanation.
Then, I asked
them to work on a work sheet, which contained seven exercises with seven to
eight item each. I demanded to finish section by section. Some of the students
did a great job and almost did all the exercises at once. That was ok for me even
though they had to wait for the rest to finish. My class finished by checking
all the exercises in the work sheet.
Well, it was nice I really liked it especially the first activity because they were very focused on what their classmates did one day before. I really liked this class this is one of the best ones that you have taught because you looked secure and confident of what you were doing .
ResponderEliminarI just recomend you to monitor at any time to see if any help is needed because in most of the cases they have doubts but they do not ask because they feel unconfortable of doing it especially the first day because they do not know you.
I think that we are doing a great job and our observations are less than when we began to teach. So this is what we have learned and I guess there are many things to say and do now as a profesional. Good luck and continue like that.
