Well, my second class was nice. I did start my class
on time and I started with a warm up called “guess the word”. I asked one
student to come to the front of the class and sit back to the board. Later, I
wrote a word on the board and the rest of the student had to mimic the word for
the chosen student guessed what the word was. As the topic of this class was
“money matters”, I wrote the words money, bill, buy, save, and piggy bank.
Indeed, it was very funny. The student were all mimicking and laughing at the
same time. Actually, I spent about five minutes in doing this activity.
Afterwards, my second activity was a reading. I asked
the students to go to their books on page 28, exercise A. I started asking
three students to read the passage. Then, I gave them a couple of minutes to
read the passage and underline new words. Later, I ask them to read all
together. When they had finished reading all together, I explained to them the
new words they had found out. To finish this section, I asked to them some
question related to the previous reading and they discussed the questions
related to the topic.
Then, I was going to develop a listening section. For
that, I was going to play the listening for three times. The first time, the
students were going to listen only. For the second time, I ask them to come to
the front, and I gave to them a strip of paper that contained a sentence
written on. The students were going to listen again and be ready to hear the
word they had been give because among the right sentences there were some
distractors. So the last time I played the listening, they had to be ready to
paste with masking tape the right answers on the blanks in the chart standing
on the board. Finally, I asked the students to find out new words. As they did
not find out new word, I stopped the class right after that.
I really liked what you did, but why do not you make students to read the Reading one by one. I think it could be better because if you do it in that way they will read better and you will be more focus on what words they did not read in the correct way. You will also monitor pronunciation, fluency.

So I must say that it will work better and will help students to improve in their learning. I hope you pay attention to this and you put it into practice.
I can also say be careful with the vocabulary that you are going to use for this kind of activities that you do in the warm up part because sometimes we can include vocabulary that they sometimes do not know the meaning. So just be careful with that and good luck…Continue doing your best.
